Dr. Dean Aslinia
Dr. Dean is the Founder and Owner of Ulead Ulearn Professional Trainings. He is a Licensed Mental Health Expert and University Professor at SMU in the Department of Counseling and Dispute Resolution. Dr. Dean’s educational background includes a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Psychology from the University of Houston, and a second master’s and doctoral degree from Texas A&M University-Commerce. His doctoral specialization was in marriage and family issues. Post graduation he obtained additional training and certifications in Grief Counseling and Sex Therapy.
Since 2007, Dr. Dean has been engaged in professional trainings, clinical mental health practice, graduate higher education teaching, research, writing, and advocacy for greater mental health access for all Americans. In 2011 he co-found and created New Horizons Center for Healing in north Dallas-Fort Worth Metropolitan area. The clinic over a five-year span grew and became the most comprehensive mental health clinic in the State of Texas. Housing more than 30 licensed mental health professionals, ranging from adult, child, and addiction psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, licensed professional counselors, marriage and family therapists, and chemical dependency counselors, AASECT (American Association of Sexuality Educators Counselors, and Therapists) certified sex therapists, play therapists, and eating disorder specialists.
His peers in the profession consider Dr. Dean a leader, as he is the Past-President of the Texas Association of Marriage and Family Counselors, a member of the Texas Counseling Association’s Governance Council, and currently serves on the Texas Counseling Association’s Executive Board. He was also appointed by the Collin County (North DFW) Commissioner’s Court to serve on the Collin County Local Behavioral Health Authority (MHMR) Life Path System’s Board of Trustees. He has also on several occasions, testified in front of the Texas House and Senate Health and Human Services Committees as well as the Texas Health and Human Services Commission for advocacy of mental health related bills.
Last, Dr. Dean has authored several single subject books (monographs), the Clinical Handbook of Counseling, published by Routledge Publishing, and series of empirical peer-reviewed articles. His passion, strong leadership, and desire to create a greater social interest with his work has led him to creating a Professional Training Company, to provide companies, universities, schools, and organizations with a better understanding of the impact of behavioral and emotional health in their environment.
Currently Dr. Dean also operates a private practice in University Park / Highland Park area of Dallas, TX.
Mr. Ryan Smith
Ryan has established himself as a leading authority on the impact of social media and technology on our interpersonal relationships. His dissertation explored the role that social media plays in marriage and he is a sought after public speaker for a wide array of technology/relationship related topics. Some of his most popular presentations include, “YikYak, SnapChat, the Kids are Using What App?” “and “Unfriended. The Impact of the Digital World on our Analog Relationships”. He has done presentations in a wide variety of settings including professional trainings in schools, parent education in schools and churches, and student education in high schools and churches.
His presentations include an exploration of the relational consequences of increased technology consumption but also practical tools to help mitigate those effects. Ryan is not anti-technology but rather pro-management. He is the founder of www.YourBestFamily.com, a website dedicated to improving familial relationships by addressing technology-based concerns.
Ryan Smith is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor. He maintains a private practice in McKinney, TX and serves as the director of a family clinic he founded within a public school district in the Dallas area. He currently serves as the President-Elect of the Texas Association of Marriage and Family Counselors and is a doctoral candidate at Texas A&M University-Commerce. Prior to his counseling career Ryan spent nearly a decade as a high school teacher and coach.
Dr. Chris Simpson
Dr. Chris Simpson is an Associate Professor of Counseling at Texas A&M University-Commerce. He has served as a faculty member at TAMUC since 2005. He also maintains a private practice in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Simpson has worked with a variety of populations including: persons recovering from chemical dependency, theft intervention, self-injurious behavior, and grief recovery. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S) in the state of Texas. In his private practice, Dr. Simpson works with a variety of adolescent and adult clients. Most of his practice involves working with depression, anxiety, self-injury, effects of trauma, grief and bereavement, and chemical dependency. Dr. Simpson is a member of the American Counseling Association and Texas Counseling Association. Previously, he served as President for Northern Metro Counseling Association (NMCA). Dr. Simpson has authored Cutting and Self-Harm and Helping Your Self-Injurious Child: A Brief But Essential Guide for Parents.

Ms. Maryam Aslinia
Maryam Aslinia acquired her education and business experience in a broad international and multi-cultural setting. Her corporate background consists of a variety of senior and executive director roles across Europe, Middle East, and Asia. She has also served as an Human Resource Director of several multi-national corporations.
Through her vast experience internationally she offers clients organizational coaching in change leadership, performance development, professional transition, consulting support on change projects, and assist with the facilitation of workshops and training contributing to the success of a wide variety of change initiatives. Maryam’s passion is facilitating change in organizations by creating reflective change agents.
Maryam holds several master’s degrees including a Master’s degree in Consulting and Coaching for Change from INSEAD University in France, which is ranked as one of the top business schools in the world.
Dr. Alan Francis
Dr. Alan Francis holds a doctorate in Higher Education Supervision, Curriculum, and Instruction from Texas A&M University-Commerce. Over the past decade he has focused his expertise in higher education teaching and training as a professor. He is a two-time Teaching Excellence Award Recipient of the Texas A&M University System. He has also worked as an instructional designer and curriculum development professional. His comprehensive knowledge in education and instructional design has allowed him to be able to take content and create an educational environment in which students are able to understand and take full advantage of the material presented. He further has extensive corporate experience and holds two master’s degrees in Electronic Commerce as well as a Master of Business Administration.
